There is a giveaway at the bottom of this post! I was provided this copy for testing. Opinions expressed are my own.

I was so excited to test the Lazy Days Lounge Pants from Gracious Threads. I have been on the lookout for a sweats pattern with larger cuffs for a while. When the tester call came out for these I jumped on them =)

The pattern is unisex. It’s available in sizes 2T-12 and feature a comfortable elastic waistband, faux drawstring, inseam pockets, and trendy leg cuffs. You can purchase the pattern on Etsy or Craftsy.

I did my first pair in this owl sweatshirt fleece from Girl Charlee. I love the contrast of the bulky fleece and the slim cuffs on this one. It’s summertime here but with the AC running all the time it’s good to have a cozy pair of warm pants. I love the look of the sweats with a simple tank. This Daniel Johnston tank which might be my favorite thrift store find ever, was perfect =)

She wanted to make sure I got her “Cool trick”.  I stuck her up there because she kept running away. I thought it would help her be still 😛

The next pair I did in these gorgeous Euro Knits from l’oiseau. I am insanely jealous of this outfit. These knits are divine. So soft and vibrant. I have made myself tops but I really really need some cute euroknit sweatpants in my size. I made a simple top to pair with them using the Sommertop Freebook from Klimperklien and used this Chenille effect tutorial here to do the heart. The instructions are in German, but the technique is pretty easy and the photos are good. If you view it in Google Chrome it will translate for you.

The pants come together really quick. I sewed these up in about an hour each. I love that the waistband is knit covered elastic. Its comfy but the elastic adds a little more holding power. My kid has a tendency to randomly shoot up an inch or two and then her pants are sliding off for a couple of weeks. These should stay nice and snug =) We also love the pockets =) They were so easy to do and make such a huge difference in whether she will grab for a pair of pants or not. She loves putting treasures in her pockets.

This is such a great basic pattern with some trendy flair. We will make many more of these. You can purchase the pattern on Etsy or Craftsy.

  1. Okay those fabrics are to die for! I love them all. Those owl pants! Ahhhh. Really all of them. And the heart top. It’s just so great with the heart detail. And I loved it so much I used the same technique on a tank top I was make for my daughter. ;p

    Wonderful as always, and inspiring!
