Today is my stop on the Once Upon a Sewing Machine Holiday Jammies Blog Tour featuring their Ruffled PJ Pattern. These cute little PJs are super quick and easy to put together. I made the whole set in a little over an hour. They are on sale this week during the tour for $5. Make sure to check the rest of the stops on the tour at the bottom of this post. There have been so many adorable versions and modifications.
I’m really proud of myself this year. I am usually the type to be sewing up Christmas wares sometime around the 22nd. This year I’ve three Holiday outfits done and just two more to go and it’s only December 2nd. Christmas is my favorite Holiday by far and I really love making special Holiday wear. These adorable PJs can be made with woven fabrics. I’ve had these prints in my stash a long time. The green fabric I picked up a few seasons ago during an after Christmas Clearance. The dot fabric is the last bit of leftovers from her bedroom curtains. I used some Michael Miller Mirror Ball dot for the adorable little accent ruffle.
I decided to go with Kam snaps for the closure. We are still snapping a lot of things now. They are so handy for the preschool age when they are either trying to dress themselves or for Mom and Dad to help quick.
My other minor modification was to add some fun mini pom poms down the side of the pant legs.
I really love the roomy fit of these. They don’t restrict movement at all. She has worn them a few times already. Last night I started to put her in some knit pajamas and she demanded I find her Christmas Jammas =)
We are in Texas, so dancing around the back yard barefoot in Christmas PJs is completely doable =)
Go here to get the Ruffled PJs pattern for only $5 until December 6th! Make sure to check out the other stops on the pattern tour for inspiration! I will be making more of these for sure!
